Is social anxiety stopping you from enjoying fulfilling relationships or reaching your potential? Are you experiencing panic attacks or excessive worry? Perhaps you are stuck in the cycle of perfectionism or procrastination, where no matter what you do, it never feels like you are good enough?

If these questions are speaking to you, I am so glad you have reached out for help. Anxiety and perfectionism can be truly painful and debilitating. They can impact your ability to do well at work, connect with others, enjoy hobbies or simply feel able to relax and enjoy life.

But you do not have to suffer with these issues forever. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence based treatment that has been shown to be highly effective in treating anxiety and the symptoms of perfectionism. You can get better!

My name is Dr. Lizite Salzman and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Carmel, IN. I work with adults whose anxiety or perfectionism has become too much, and who are ready to make a change. I also teach people how to set healthy boundaries, be more assertive and manage stress

I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and accepting space. I will work to empower you with the tools you need to take control of your future, and get back to living your life. If you are done with anxiety or perfectionism ruling your life, contact me to set up a free phone consultation. We will talk about what is bringing you to treatment and decide if working with me will be a great fit for you.

What is it like to work with you?

I'm not the type of therapist that sits silently and then says "uh huh" every few minutes. I am active in treatment and will teach you skills and strategies to help you overcome your anxiety or perfectionism. I don't believe therapy has to be a mysterious process, so I am open with you about my treatment recommendations and why I think they will help. This is your treatment and I want us to work in collaboration.

I also bring my sense of humor into the room. Laughter is so important to therapy! The problems that you are facing are certainly challenging, but being able to take a step back and laugh is a great coping skill and makes therapy so much more enjoyable. It will take hard work to achieve your goals, but therapy does not have to be intimidating, depressing or stressful. In fact, working to change your life can be invigorating and empowering.
