Dr. Lizite Salzman, Psy.D., HSPP

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Hello! My name is Dr. Lizite Salzman. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and the founder of Salzman Psychology, LLC. I am located in Carmel, IN, and provide a 100% telehealth practice, serving people in Indiana and 36 other states.

I specialize in CBT and CBT-I, to treat adults with anxiety, panic, phobias, perfectionism, and insomnia. I also teach people how to be more assertive, set healthy boundaries, and manage stress.

Starting therapy is daunting, and deciding who might be the best person to help you can feel overwhelming. I hope my site can answer many of your questions. If you want to learn more, schedule a free consultation, and we can see if I am the right therapist for you.

What is it like to work with you?

I'm not the type of therapist that sits silently and then says "uh huh" every few minutes.

When you come to treatment with me you will learn about your diagnosis and what is maintaining your symptoms. I will also teach you the evidence based skills that you need to overcome those symptoms. In fact, my ultimate goal is to work myself out of a job! By the time you are done with treatment, I not only want you to have gotten better and achieved your treatment goals, I want you to have mastered the skills you need to maintain your mental health for life.

I bring my sense of humor into therapy.

I am relaxed and casual and encourage you to be yourself and come as you are. Laughter is so important to therapy! The problems that you are facing are certainly challenging, but being able to take a step back and laugh is a great coping skill and makes therapy so much more enjoyable.

I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, accepting, and anti-racist space.

I am a social justice advocate and I welcome all people to my practice, no matter their color, race, ethnicity, nationality, culture, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious/spiritual orientation, size, or level of physical ability.

It will take hard work to achieve your goals, but therapy does not have to be intimidating, depressing or stressful. In fact, working to change your life can be invigorating and empowering. If you are done with anxiety or perfectionism ruling your life, contact me to set up a free phone consultation. We will talk about what is bringing you to treatment and decide if working with me will be a great fit for you.

The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.
